The national selection of Curacao won its first match against Haiti 1-0 in a packed Stadium Ergilio Hato in Curacao.

In the first match of Group Din League A, Elson Hooi scored the all important goal in the 70' minute. The victory was a historical one, as it marked Curacao’s first win over Haiti since March 5, 1950 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, (3-0), in the Central American and Caribbean Sports Games.

The Curacao team will play the secon match against Haiti on Spetember 12 at the Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince.
